We have some terrific news that we are very excited to share to our wider network. After 25 years with offices in Coventry, Banbury, Leamington and Warwick, Simpact have now moved into their brand-new home at the University of Warwick, Innovation Campus near Wellesbourne. We can’t think of a better time for this change as the University of Warwick has been research partner on many projects over the past 20 years. Their Wellesbourne campus is set for a significant expansion and is home to automotive research activity from Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG) and a number of other technical consultancies including Lotus.
This comes after sharing our office and workshop facilities with Creactive Design since 2008. Creactive were world leaders in industrial design and a strong partnership with them acted like a catalyst for Simpact’s diversification activities in the late noughties. Joint projects with them added new industries such as rail to our client portfolio and during this period, we were lucky to demonstrate the application of our CAE consultancy to a similar effect that our skills had on the Automotive Safety Revolution.
The University of Warwick Wellesbourne campus has a long history of research relating to agriculture and since 2010 has been home to the School of Life Sciences. They are now expanding the campus to bring forward 47 hectares of development land for innovative businesses to co-locate their R&D operations alongside leading academic research in a vibrant and collaborative environment. The new site will cover three main sectors; crop science, agri-tech and life sciences; automotive and autonomous vehicles; and medical research.
We can’t wait to invite our clients and partners to visit our new offices and lab space and hope that Simpact can be like a catalyst to other Engineering companies interested in engaging with the University in these areas.
